I made a polishing pass through the providence story, fixing the bits that got broken in the rewrite. I trimmed a bit, bringing it down to 4700 words. I did some of the stuff with the character's thoughts that I wanted to do, but I need to make another pass through the story to do more of it.

Still, I'm really pleased with the way this story is coming together. I think that pass may do it.

I bicycled to work today.

I ate too much at many meals while I was in Boston, so I was surprised and pleased to find that I hadn't gained any weight during the trip. Thinking back, I realized that there were a couple of meals where I was very busy and just managed a snack instead of a real meal. I guess that brought the daily average down enough.

Oh, I've been meaning to mention that Clarion classmate Beth Adele Long has an on-line journal, Goddess on the Loose. I've been reading it for a while. When she first pointed me to it, she asked me not to link to it, but recently told me it was now okay. I added it to my links page as well. Go read it. It's wonderful.
