I had a couple of ideas that I liked. I went back and tucked in a sentence here and there--maybe 50 words total--to set them up. I'm happy with them, even though they don't drive the story much closer to completion. It's at 1690 words and is probably about half done, so I'm guessing it'll finish up at 3000-3500 words.

Got a run in today after work. I'm glad, since it had been four days since my last. That's okay--probably a good rest, since I had ramped the distance up so much, and I did get a stationary bike session in there. But outlook had been that Friday was about the earliest I could expect warm enough weather for an early morning run, so it was good to do an early evening run.

One thing I haven't done very well with this journal is hit the emotional high points. (For example, I didn't do an entry the day I found out I was going to Clarion.) But today I can, a bit, because we've got three new folks going to Clarion! Woo hoo! It has been just Beth, Karina, and me for a long time--now there's also John, Dora, and Susan.
