I wrote one short scene and part of another. Word count is 1300 now. It's going pretty well, both the character-relationship stuff and the sf stuff.

My mom is coming to visit. That'll be fun. She gets here tomorrow. We're thinking about going to listen to folk music at the Independent Media Center in Urbana, going to see a movie or two, getting some exercise, eating some good food, and taking it easy.

Today was a pretty good day at the day job. Things are beginning to work pretty well, and the few problems that remain are not common, which makes them hard to investigate. So, it was a nice break after more than a week of rather tedious work to be able to spend an afternoon pulling together everyone's best ideas on how to deal with one bug that we need to fix.
