Some writing this evening, for the first time in a long time. About 360 words on the robots story that I started back in November--a new start. I'm stopping here because I realize that I need to bring in the antagonist earlier. That, of necessity, means deciding just who the antagonist is. I have an idea, but it bears thinking about.

A small start, but if this day's effort is followed by another and another, then large enough.

We gave our upstairs neighbors some cake that we weren't going to eat, but made the mistake of mentioning that it was birthday cake. So, they gave me a gift--a gift-card from Barnes and Noble. I bought myself a copy of Balance of Trade by Sharon Lee and Steve Miller, which I'm enjoying--I always like the Liad books. I took another birthday present, some PITT Artist Brush Pens and drew a scene of the courtyard outside our apartment building door and folded it into a thank-you note.

I'm very pleased with the pens. My artistic ability is quite limited, but I enjoy drawing. I've also done a drawing in a cemetery close to the research park and a few of Rapunzel and Jackie. If I produce something I like, I'll see if I can scan it and post it here.
