Looking south on the First Street path. The close lights are bright, and the further-away lights are dim

The footpath along First Street between Windsor and Curtis has some extra-fancy lights. They’re usually fairly dim, to minimize light pollution, but they have motion detectors that cause them to brighten if someone approaches.

  1. I love that, auto-dimming lights! Where I live in the city the park is pretty good with full cut-off, etc. But just down the street are two car dealerships, with MASSIVE lights that light up everything. On an overcast evening, especailly with snow on the ground, they dominate the night sky.
