Jackie has two band-aids, having gotten both a flu shot and an RSV shot. (Covid shot delayed another couple of months, since she had Covid in August.) In the foreground, Ashley is showing proper care. #dogsofmastodon #vaccinesofmastodon

Ashley sprawled along the loveseat, with Jackie beyond her, showing us the two band-aids she got for two vaccinations.

“To take the dog for a walk safely, you have to pay attention to the dog, and to the surroundings—people, squirrels, other dogs… It’s a lot like multitasking.”

The sun shining through the patio fence cast almost zebra-like, or tiger-like stripes on Ashley. 🐕 #dogsofmastodon

One of the best things about cats was that they seemed to understand when you were sick. They’d sit on your lap all day and be completely undemanding.

This is so not true of dogs. #dogsofmastodon

It’s a pretty narrow strip early in the morning, but Ashley has found her place in the sun. #dogsofmastodon

Forty-eight hours ago we picked Ashley up from SportsVet boarding and brought her home. Today she very insistently led me the six or eight blocks back to SportsVet.

I guess she liked it okay. 🐕 #dogsofmastodon

I was explaining to Ashley why she doesn’t get coffee, even though it’s wonderful and she’d probably like it. 🐕 #dogsofmastodon
