Breakfast was a potato omelet with onions and peppers, and hot buttered toast with fresh sourdough baked by Jackie yesterday. Jackie also has toast, but her breakfast is granola with blueberries and homemade yogurt.

Yesterday’s run was done fasted, and at a slightly faster pace than my usual, both with an eye toward burning some carbs ahead of having pancakes with maple syrup for breakfast after. 🏃🏻‍♂️ (Today I’m fasting for a blood draw ahead of an upcoming physical.)

One thing that has always appealed to me is having coffee and a fancy pastry in an outdoor setting for breakfast. For various reasons, I rarely do so. Just lately, those reasons seem less constraining, and I’m thinking @jackieLBrewer and I may start taking breakfast on the patio pretty often this summer.
