My sourdough bread is always delicious, but this loaf came out especially photogenic as well. 🍞
See?

Out on today’s run, I was visited by a very large dog (a St. Bernard, I think) who had no concept of proper social distancing. I stopped (necessary, as he kept bumping against my legs) and gave him many pats while telling him he was a very good dog. 🏃🏻♂️

I’m torn. It’s finally dry enough that I could probably go out on the patio and squeeze in a jump rope workout. Or I could just have another beer.
Snowflakes are drifting past, hanging in the air like giant virus particles.

A pair of mourning doves built a nest in this former squirrel nest just outside my study window. I just saw a crow visit the nest and fly off with an egg in its beak. Sometimes the circle of life is pretty small.

When I first saw this sign someone was inside, having ignored it to get in a workout. Now I see Maintenance has covered the lock and removed the door handle.

The government should issue every person a two-meter stick that they can use to maintain a proper social distance. Shown above, Jackie is making do with a free-market stick which is only two-thirds as long as it ought to be.
