We won’t be needing the fireplace this trip, but it is very handsome.

Enjoying the fireplace at @HoulihansCU with @jackieLbrewer, who is drinking a Ghostwriter. I’ve got a U of IPA. 📷 #mbfeb

We found another fireplace! This one is in the North Star coffee shop in the lobby of Carle Hospital. Pretty good coffee, too. 📷 #mbfeb

After Steven suggested that hanging out near a fireplace would help with SAD I hunted all over Champaign-Urbana, but somehow it never occurred to me that there’s a fireplace right in the Winfield Village community room!

I had such a good time sitting in front of the fireplace last week, I decided to bring @jackieLbrewer and do it again.

Enjoying a U of IPA in front of the fireplace at Houlihan’s. (Based on @limako’s advice for fighting seasonal depression.)

I write science fiction and fantasy stories.

I speak Esperanto, and use it to communicate internationally. Esperantistoj, legu mian esperantan hejmpaĝon.

For a while I taught Taiji.

For eleven years I was a senior writer at Wise Bread, writing about personal finance and frugality.

Before that I spent a quarter-century as a software engineer.
