A very nice run yesterday along the bank of the Sangamon. 🏃🏻‍♂️

There were so many mosquitos!
It’s not a popular opinion, but I think we should have more public sculpture that looks like pulp magazine cover art.

Did a trail run at Allerton Park. I ran to the Sunsinger and back while Jackie walked as far as the Dying Senator and back. Worked pretty well—we started at the Visitor’s Center and then met up again near the Sunken Garden. 🏃🏻‍♂️

Map of my run from the Allerton Park visitor's center out to (and around) the Sunsinger sculpture and then back.

We’ve gotten Indian food a couple of times during the pandemic, but this is our first sit-down meal at one in two years, and we’re celebrating with Kingfishers. @jackieLbrewer

I write science fiction and fantasy stories.

I speak Esperanto, and use it to communicate internationally. Esperantistoj, legu mian esperantan hejmpaĝon.

For a while I taught Taiji. My current hobby is HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts, aka sword fighting).

For eleven years I was a senior writer at Wise Bread, writing about personal finance and frugality.

Before that I spent a quarter-century as a software engineer.
