South of the University of Illinois Arboretum I came upon this most excellent climbing tree. (A couple of those branches are dead, so be careful.) Sharing to remember it’s precise location.

In a shaker mix with ice:

4 parts cheap gin
1 part cheap triple sec
1 splash cranberry juice concentrate

Shake until cold, pour over ice, top with grapefruit juice.

You can’t see it, but a Green Heron just flew into that tallest tree across the pond.

My buff is at the ready, just in case I need to pull it up to serve as a faux mask for virtue-signaling purposes.

After days not running because of a sore foot and crappy weather, I got out today—and then back indoors just ahead of the rain. #PolarBeat

There was just a little bit of coffee left in the flask, so I got one of our really little cups to drink it out of. 📷 ☕️

Jackie suggested that I make these sourdough cinnamon rolls instead of having her bake me an apple pie. So I did. But I’ll want an apple pie soon enough anyway.
